British American Healthcare is a provider of home health services within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi providing physician home visits, skilled nursing, and physiotherapy within patient homes. By pursuing and achieving accreditation, British American Healthcare has demonstrated that it meets international standards for quality and is committed to pursuing excellence. We have been licensed by Department of Health (formerly DOH) since 2015 and our interdisciplinary team of clinicians treats patients of all ages with a variety of chronic conditions. Of particular note, we offer a dedicated pediatric team that has developed a specialization in managing the rare and devastating genetic condition of Epidermolysis Bullosa.
British American Healthcare is clearly providing a high-competency, high-quality service to a population in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that has been unserved through its comprehensive pediatric program serving children diagnosed with Epidermolysis Bullosa. External stakeholders, including researchers, medical practitioners, and families consistently report that British American Healthcare is the only organization within the country that has this service and competency. These stakeholders are effusive about the services, indicating that “a lot of groups in the UAE are trying to do this, but the level of clinical skill and deep understanding of the condition is not apparent and the level of satisfaction with these groups is not high. British American Healthcare is our arm for care outside of the hospital and the only service we will work with as they are meeting state-of-the-art care” –CARF Survey Report

CARF was recommended by the of Abu Dhabi Department of Health (formerly DOH), and British American Healthcare has met the mandatory accreditation deadline as set forth in the Home Health Standards v. 1.4.

An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.British American Healthcare was the first organization in the MENA region to be awarded this high level of accreditation for Home and Community Services for Children & Adolescents.
